Apophlyte Necklace

This piece is to me what creation is all about. Creation is not just about the beautiful final design that we all get to see. creation is about ideating, conceptualizing, nurturing the idea, the thought and developing it. 
The solar agate in the center represents the main idea the seed of thought that ultimately is what the viewer is going to see, but the green enamel is the nourishment that is necessary to bring that idea to fruition. Lots of endless back and forth whether the idea is good, the techniques that will be used. The bundle of sticks? you might ask what that is ? What that actually represents the bones of the design, the tools and techniques that are used in creating the art piece., the metal, the gemstones, the chemicals etc. And the cocoon represents the quiet time needed to gestate the idea, sleeping over it sometimes for days. And a good many times the ideas and designs on paper never see the light of day but they do live on in the artists mind. 
Finally the bees the artists who toil day and night to bring the idea from the drawing board to your hands.

Midnight blooms

Hasli is a traditional tribal necklace, basically a stiff necklace that looks beautiful worn on low neck outfits. This Hasli features handmade lotus flowers in brass paired with large intricate white metal beads on a brass base.

Tribal Lotus flower Hasli

Inspired by the northern lights also known as the Aurora Borealis this necklace features vibrant green enamel on a black enamel background. Just as the enchanting greens and yellows shine on a dark winter night. 
The necklace also features my own version of filigree and a very creative clasp in that the clasp is actually just above the pendant instead of at the nape of the neck.
